The best way to eat in today's world in small plates... Small plates, small bites, and lots of variety. Bon Appétit magazine apprecaites this and thus created Grub Crawl. Grub Crawl is a moveable feast that takes dinners from one restaurant to another over the course of a couple hours to create a full meal and unforgettable dining experience with passionate local restaurateurs and chefs.
I attended last years line up, which included Sotto, Picca and Lukshon. Live demos by the chefs at Sotto and Picca were exciting and bold flavors, mixed with strong cocktails kept the crowd happy.
This years lineups feature Abbot Kinney for the day crawl and downtown for the night crawl. The day crawl begins at Salt Air, the new seafood concept by Carol Ann Emquies and David Reiss. Then heads to long standing favorite The Brig, followed by 3 Square Cafe and Bakery, Local 1205 and ending at Barnyard.
The downtown tour begins with the French-inspired Perch then heads to Alma, Broadway Bar, Orsa & Winston and Bar Ama. Anyone slightly intrigued by the downtown food scene will be thrilled with this quintet. Some of these spots are extremely difficult to get into, so it's nice knowing that with a ticket you are a sure in.
Tickets for the each event are $149 but use this link and code BAFF20 for 20% off.
